3 Secrets To A Beautiful Thanksgiving Table

Do you need some new inspiration for your Thanksgiving table?

Here are 3 tricks to setting an inspirational table, whether you are using what you have or buying something new.

1.  For your Thanksgiving Table, consider the height of your centerpiece and don’t let it interfere with conversation.  Either stay lower than eye level or use a vase that raises the arrangement above eye level.  Make sure you can see across the table without a huge obstruction.  We recommend that you don’t limit yourself to flowers.  It’s fun to rub a little olive oil on gourds, small pumpkins, acorns, and pomegranates and place them around the table.  If you like, you can add small arrangements of flowers instead of one large centerpiece.

2.  Add interest to your table by varying the heights of things.  Place some food on footed cake stands.  Add some tall candlesticks.  Mix in branches (real or faux) that undulate on your table.  If you have a side buffet table, go high with style as shown in the photo below.

3.  Layer colors and textures on your table.  You could put colorful place mats over a solid tablecloth.  Try a contrasting color for the napkin with pretty napkin rings or ribbons.  Add colorful stemware.  Use a charger under your place setting.  If you have some cute decorative objects like small wooden boxes or ceramic fruit, these can be added around the table.
